The other chair

Companies filing with the SEC need two firms: one that prepares the financial statements and one that audits them. We are equipped for either role — and we will tell you at the outset which one we can take with your company.

SEC Accounting & Financial Preparation

Financial statements in Regulation S-X form, GAAP conversion, S-1 and IPO readiness, and derivative valuation using Black-Scholes and binomial lattice models.

If we prepare it, we cannot audit it

Independence rules do not permit a firm to audit financial statements it prepared. If JV CPA performs your accounting or financial statement preparation, your audit must be performed by a different firm. We say so before you engage us, not after.

We plan backward from your deadline

Filing dates, plan-year deadlines and board meetings do not move. Neither does our schedule. Every engagement starts with a written timeline built backward from your date, and we hold the milestones we commit to.

A dated engagement calendar issued before fieldwork begins
One consolidated request list — not a trickle of emails
Weekly status against the calendar, in writing
Issues raised the week we find them, never at the closing meeting
Partner reachable directly when a date is at risk
Why JV CPA

What a small firm can give you that a large one will not

The partner stays on the engagement.  The person who scopes your audit is the person who works it, through report issuance.
Registered and accountable.  PCAOB Registration No. 7333. Issuer engagements are subject to PCAOB oversight and inspection, and our Form AP filings are public.
Credentials that matter to how we audit.  CPA licensed in Texas and the Philippines, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Information Systems Auditor — which shapes how we approach related parties, revenue and IT controls.
Independence handled up front.  We settle which role we can take in the first conversation, so nothing has to be unwound later.
Deadlines are the design constraint.  Filing dates, plan-year deadlines and board meetings drive the calendar, and the calendar is written down.
Twenty years of audit practice  across public companies, private companies, benefit plans and not-for-profit organizations.

Tell us your deadline

Filing date, plan year end, covenant date or board meeting — start there, and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right firm and whether the date is achievable.
